Occupation: City Commissioner/Business Owner
My name is Celia Rivas, I am a dedicated community leader, small business owner, and public servant committed to strengthening the City of Huntington Park. I currently serve as the City's Health and Education Commissioner, where I work to promote community wellness, educational opportunities, and civic engagement.
For more than 25 years I have owned and operated a successful insurance agency and business services company, helping individuals, families, and small businesses protect their future while creating economic opportunities within the community.
Originally from Chalatenango, El Salvador, I have built my life on the values of faith, integrity, hard work, and service. She understands the challenges that working families and local businesses face because she has lived and worked alongside them for decades.
I'm currently in my second year of studying Law at Universidad Gerardo Barrios (UGB), expanding my knowledge to better serve the community and advocate for transparent, and accountable government.
As a candidate for Huntington Park City Council, my priorities are to improve public safety, keep our neighborhoods clean and attractive, support local businesses, and create opportunities that strengthen our local economy. I am committed to responsible leadership, fiscal accountability, and ensuring Huntington Park remains a safe, thriving, and welcoming community for all residents.
