Occupation: Educator/Business Consultant
As a life-long resident of Santa Clarita I care deeply about our city and our quality of life. Santa Clarita is a great place to live, work and raise a family. As an educator, public servant, small business owner and nonprofit leader, I have dedicated myself to helping build this community. As a former Hart School District Governing Board member, for 16 years, I worked on the passage of two school bonds to build schools and provide successful quality education. I advocated partnerships with College of the Canyons and businesses. I worked as a teacher, principal and district level administrator for the second largest school district in the nation, Los Angeles Unified School District, overseeing 125 schools, with a budget of over 150 million dollars. As past president of the SCV Sheriff's Foundation I have worked to provide resources that support public safety and protect families, seniors, neighborhoods and businesses.
