I immigrated to the US at eighteen and have lived in different parts of California. No other city compares to El Monte. El Monte has so much hidden potential, the same way many immigrants do. We work hard, we build quietly, and it takes time to fully realize what we are capable of. I want to help El Monte create real opportunities for our residents to achieve their potential.</p><p dir=\"auto\">I see that same potential in my own five boys, and it's why I decided to give back to the city that raised me. As a nurse, I care for our community's physical and psychological health. As an operations manager, I turn plans into real results.
