As a community organizer, he has a deep understanding of ecological design and community engagement.</p><p dir=\"auto\">He is a proud product of NLMUSD K-12 schools. Daniel attended Norwalk High School before earning his B.S. in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic University, Pomona (CPP) as a first-generation college student. While at CPP, Daniel was actively involved in the American Society of Landscape Architects student chapter and served on their board as President and Social Promotions Chair, helping grow student networks with professionals in Southern California and hosting workshops for STEAM school students to learn about landscape architecture. Daniel also volunteers with Norwalk Unides, a local nonprofit organization, co-leading its environmental portfolio of work, including educating residents on native plants and advocating for greater park access and ecologically beneficial urban forests.</p><p dir=\"auto\">As a Norwalk City Council Member, Daniel will continue to focus on improving public services that address affordability and reflect working-class families' needs, while increasing transparency in city government.</p><p dir=\"auto\"></p><p dir=\"auto\"></p>","editTs":"2026-09-29T20:21:26.521633","language":"EN","status":4,"contestId":10494,"electionId":4348,"candidateId":26497,"publishedBy":69,"statementId":60731,"createdBy":69,"lastChangeBy":69,"publicCandidate":null}]
