My goal is to work with fellow City Council colleagues and respective stakeholders in these efforts:
- More public safety, parking solutions, city services
- Continue to pursue Costco & Salt Lake Park Pool Community Center
- New UCLA or USC Community Hospital (expand medical care capacity, emergency services, beds, specialties etc.)
- California corner destination/entertainment venue (redevelopment of Alameda/Randolph/Santa Fe/Slauson with mixed uses (commercial, needed residential, retail) and advocate for future MTA rail stop
- Award competitive contracts with quality services/goods
- City Beautification (save water/money with dessert theme designs in homes/street medians with jacaranda and/or cherry blossom trees)
- Diverse Quality Shops/Restaurants (Macys, Big Bear, Angus Steakhouse etc.)
My parents came to this country and attained the American Dream. With their support and opportunity our country offers, I graduated from Huntington Park High School and the University of Southern California (USC). I own my home since 1988 and have lived in this city for 50 years.
I worked for the Port of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) for 35 years, the largest seaport and public utility in the country, respectively.
I'm an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union member and current president of the Huntington Park Kiwanis Club.
