My name is CARRIE UVA. I have called Downey home for over 60 years. As a Trust Attorney, Real Estate Broker and senior advocate, my life's work is deeply rooted in serving our community.</p><p dir=\"auto\">As Chair of the Planning Commission and Measure S &amp; D Oversight Committees, I believe character counts in public service. I bring proven integrity, legal expertise and fiscal accountability to local government.</p><p dir=\"auto\">My priorities:</p><p dir=\"auto\">- <strong>Public Safety: </strong>Partner directly with the Downey Police Department to prevent crime, recruit and retain qualified officers and strengthen local Neighborhood Watch programs.</p><p dir=\"auto\">- <strong>Quality of</strong> <strong>Life: </strong>Protect our neighborhoods by improving street lighting, increasing community cleanliness and implementing effective traffic-calming measures on residential streets.</p><p dir=\"auto\">- <strong>Balanced Budget: </strong>Protect taxpayer dollars through vigilant financial oversight.
